#iPad or #Droid: Will they meet in the middle?
Now will an iPad do the same? I’m not sure. It looks too deliicate with that big screen.

April 1 (Bloomberg) — Apple Inc.’s iPad touch-screen tablet is a winning product that threatens to replace laptops as the dominant format for personal computers, reviewers said. The iPad, which will begin selling this weekend, is “wicked fast” and has a battery life that’s longer than Apple’s claim of 10 hours, Walt Mossberg, technology columnist for the Wall Street Journal, wrote in a review yesterday. It can be used as a replacement for a laptop for most data communication and content consumption, he wrote.

#Google: a champion for free speech?
Google has its hands full dealing with tyrants around the globe. No one likes to have a mirror held up to it’s face and the mirror is all the Google-indexed Web sites. No one is exempt but to be fair a little criticism never hurt anyone.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Google Inc. didn’t stop wrangling with censorship when the company moved its search engine out of mainland China to shed its restraints on what can be shown on the Internet.Even in countries Google has no intention of leaving, the world’s Web search leader has been under increasing pressure to filter information. For instance, local laws prodded Google to help shield Turkey’s founder and Thailand’s monarch from public ridicule by blocking unflattering videos of them in their home countries.
The company also complies with laws in Germany, France and Poland that force it to exclude information that promotes or supports Nazi causes. Google has edited discussion forums in India to remove comments that the government flagged as violations of its restrictions against speech that’s indecent, immoral or threatens public order. MORE
